Water Aerobics!

POOL PROGRAMS:
by Leah Reid With Opening Day right around the corner, I’m sure you all are anxiously awaiting the opening of the pool I know my family is. Our new season of swimming activities is coming soon for all ages, abilities and a variety of day and evening choices! LPRC truly has something for everyone. But, of course, if you have a suggestion-just let me know.

Swim Team News: The team is looking for new members ages 5-18. No competitive swimming experience is required. Michele Del Signore will be returning as Swim Team Representative. Please give Michele a call at 703-256-9002 or email at PMDelsig@aol.com, if you need any information on joining the Lazers. There will be a kickoff meeting in late May. Ginny Garney has been hard at work keeping the Lazers in shape this winter. If you would like more information, about winter swim, contact Ginny at 703-354-5017 or email at geofgarney@aol.com.

Water Aerobics: Instructor Anna Brussel will be conducting water aerobics again this season. I believe this is Anna’s 5th season, so you will be working out with a Pro! Your 60 minute water workout will include a warm-up, aerobic exercise, toning and stretches. Music, weather, noodles and water are all provided. The program is FREE to all adult members and their guests. You will be able to circle 2 days that you can participate on the dues and registration form. If you have any questions in the meantime, Anna’s contact information is 703-256-0645 or email at annabrussel@yahoo.com.

Diving: The ever popular Diving Clinics will be offered again this season. Conducted by Marta Nammack, the clinics are open to all members-young and old alike. If you’d like to learn some dives, other than the belly flop or the cannonball, please watch for the sign up sheet on the bulletin board at the pool.

Early Bird Swim: For those dedicated swimmers who like to wake up with a refreshing workout in the pool, Early Bird Swim is the program for -8 a.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, 10-11 a.m.

Adult Swim Lessons-For those of you never got around to learning how to swim, want to learn to swim better, perfect your strokes, or you just want to build your confidence, we plan to again offer Adult Lessons, one day a week, in the evening. Information will be available in the next newsletter or watch the bulletin board at the pool.
